Our Process

We begin with an in-depth complimentary consultation. In our two-hour private meeting, we discuss your design aesthetics and get a sense for the vision you are looking to achieve. We will discuss design elements, colors, papers, wording, fonts, the anatomy of your suite, and more. During the meeting we go over pricing and budget so that we can work on finding the right options for your needs and vision. We recommend conducting the initial meeting our studio office in Denver. We can also meet over video conference or phone if you are out of state.

Based on our meeting, we create a personalized and itemized quote with the options discussed. A follow-up phone meeting is scheduled, to go over the pricing and to address any questions you may have. Once everything is confirmed, a formal estimate and contract is sent for final approval. A 50% deposit on the order is required to initiate the design process.

Soon after, we work with you to go over the design concept in more detail. This may include a live-session where we create quick thumbnails of your stationery suite to help form the final concept. From here, we work on designing your vision for all pieces of your stationery order. Electronic proofs are provided for your review. Usually our proofing process goes through 0-2 rounds before being approved for final production.

Once we have received final approval for the design, we move forward with the production of your order.
Production times vary on the selection of materials, printing methods, and services requested.

What a wonderful experience we had planning our wedding stationery with Cristy of Lucky Onion. I can't imagine there is a more talented person out there! She has a breadth of knowledge and experience doing every kind of design, from traditional to modern. I was impressed by her attention to detail, and foresight into things we might need specifically for our wedding. The quality is outstanding. In addition, Cristy is a talented artist and was able to do excellent custom watercolor paintings that we used as the backdrop for many of our pieces. I don't think you will find this level of artistry anywhere else. I had many guests say that my invitations were the most beautiful they had seen!
